We provide you with fees of our most common dental procedures because, well . . .
so many people ask.  However, be advised that fees sometimes change during
treatment because of unanticipated clinical conditions or unusual patient
circumstances.  That said, the purpose for posting our “usual and customary” fees is
to aid your decision on which treatment options are best for you, how much treatment
to undertake at this time, and when best to schedule it.

Be advised that fees alone should not be the only determinant for dental care.
There are many variables, such as the quality of care, the treatment options being
offered to you (this concept is known as informed consent), if treatment is time
critical, treatment warranties, office staff and policies, your diet, your homecare
effectiveness, your genetics, your overall health, etc.

Second Opinion or Consultation:

This is not a clinical examination, but rather a time to discuss my perspective on your
specific dental concern or problem.  Treatment is not expected.  To facilitate a valid
opinion, you should bring an x-ray and other data from the other dentist for us to
evaluate.  The fee is $50 per 20 minutes.  If a clinical examination and/or x-ray is
necessary for us to give you a valid second opinion, then the appointment will
automatically change to a limited examination.

Limited Examination:

This type of clinical examination focuses on a
specific dental problem that you are
concerned about.  This type of examination does not make you a patient of this
practice.  The fee is $55.  Any x-rays and treatment that is rendered is a separate
fee.

Comprehensive Examination:

To become a patient of this practice and have treatment rendered at this office, you
must have a comprehensive examination.  Our responsibility then is to fully determine
your existing dental status so we can properly advise you about all treatment needs
and options.

1.  Adult: The examination fee will be either $198 or $298, depending on the
complexity of your dental and medical status.  This includes the use of our dental
materials test kit (testing is separate and done by other practitioners), and all
consultation time with you and your other healthcare practitioners as needed.
2.  Child (age 2-18): The examination fee is $42.

X-rays:

1.  If you want us to just look for hidden decay between teeth, four “bitewing”
radiographs will be utilized, and the fee will be $47.  If only two “bitewing”
radiographs are needed or desired, the fee will be $37.
2.  If you want us to just look at localized gum disease problems and suspect
abscessed teeth, individual “periapical” radiographs will be utilized, and the fee
   will be $15-18 each.
3.  If you want us to check out all areas of your mouth for hidden decay, gum disease,
abscessed teeth, impacted teeth, and other jawbone pathology, “full mouth”
radiographs will be utilized, and the fee will be $107.

Cleaning:

1.  If you only want/need a routine prophylaxis to remove stain, plaque, and small
amounts of tartar (calculus) buildup, then the fee will be $79 (adults), and $55
   (children).
2.  If you need something more than a routine prophylaxis because it has been a
long time since your last cleaning or you have active gum disease, you may
need full mouth “root planning and scaling”
in addition to a routine cleaning later,
which is $108-968 depending on the number of teeth that exist in your mouth.

Optional Dental Materials Testing:

1.  Clifford blood serum testing - $245
2.  Scientific Health Solutions blood serum testing – $250, although a smaller
grouping of materials is available for $150
3.  Energetic testing – approximately $75-150, depending on the practitioner and
   the modality utilized

Composite Fillings:

There can be decay or breakdown on 1-5 surfaces of each tooth, so the cost
depends on how many surfaces are involved and if it is a front or back tooth.

1.  One surface, $133-142
2.  Two surfaces, $176-215
3.  Three surfaces, $236-268
4.   Four surfaces, $295-339
5.   Five surfaces, 295-386

There are other materials available for fillings besides composite.  Read our
educational handout about other filling options.

Crowns:

There are 5 crown options: all metal, all porcelain, all composite, porcelain bonded to
metal, and composite bonded to metal.  Fees will vary according to the type.  If the
tooth has gross breakdown and requires a buildup or base to be successful, there
will be an additional charge for that buildup.

1.   All porcelain or all composite, $929
2.   All high noble metal, $953
3.   All titanium, $976
4.   Porcelain or composite bonded to high noble metal, $953
5.   Porcelain or composite bonded to titanium, $976
6.   Crown buildup, $138

Removable Partial Dentures:

Each partial denture replaces missing teeth on either the upper or the lower jaw.
Depending on the location of missing teeth and patient preference, a partial denture
can cover both sides of the mouth (bilateral) or just one side of the mouth (unilateral).

1.   Chrome cobalt and acrylic, $1178 (unilateral) or $1478 (bilateral)
2.   All nylon, $775 (unilateral) or $1175 (bilateral)
3.   Acrylic and wire, $569
3.
Temporary acrylic “flippers”, $395 (bilateral)
