Personal:
Raised in Richfield, MN, reside in southwest Minneapolis with my wife Lynn (medical technologist),
daughter Rachel (C.P.A.), daughter Lisa (will be teaching English in Lanzhou, China beginning
September, 2010), and dog Rascal.
I decided to become a dentist at age 11, was a Boy Scout (Eagle scout rank), played baritone saxophone
in my high school marching and swing bands, was a ski jumper on my high school ski team (tri-captain),
was a camp counselor at Camp Kici-Yapi YMCA Day Camp, and worked as an orderly in hospitals and
nursing homes.
I served in the USAF as a dentist at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico from 1972-74
(Vietnam era), flew small single-engine airplanes (commercial-instrument license), was a part-time
educator at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry (Oral Anatomy, Clinical Operative Dentistry)
from 1974-84, went helicopter skiing in Canada, was a founding member and officer of the Fulton
Neighborhood Association in Minneapolis, tried indoor skydiving and ziplining, and was a girl's softball
coach.
I was twice appointed by Governors Jesse Ventura (1999) and Tim Pawlenty (2003) to serve 4-year terms
on the Minnesota Board of Dentistry, was a licensing examiner for the Central Regional Dental Testing
Service (2002-2009), and was a member of the men’s alpine course crew at the 2002 Winter Olympics in
Salt Lake. Currently, I enjoy ski patrolling at Afton Alps Ski Area (38th year), riding my 3-wheeled 150cc
scooter, watching video movies, learning, occasional lecturing and dental consulting, surfing the web,
periodic exercising, and especially taking naps.

Dr. Tara Mehtab Kaur graduated from University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2000. Since graduating from dental
school, she has taken courses and continuing education in all aspects of general dentistry. Dr. Kaur is a current member of
the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, the Holistic Dental Association, the American Dental Association,
the Minnesota Dental Association and the Minneapolis District Dental Society.
As a general dentist, Dr. Kaur practices holistic and biological philosophies. Dr. Kaur focuses her practice on the health and
integrity of the oral cavity paying particular attention to the use of dental materials and procedures that are compatible with
her patients. Her awareness of dental care as it relates to the whole body allows for an integrative and interdisciplinary
approach to health. Dr. Kaur is concerned about more than just your mouth and your teeth. She is concerned about YOU
and the role your mouth is playing in overall health and well-being.
Dr. Kaur has over 1000 hours of continuing education and experience in complementary, alternative and energy healing
modalities. Currently she is taking classes in nutrition and kinesiology, and plans to soon become certified in clinical
nutrition. She is the founder and director of Inner Guru (www.innerguru.us), and a teacher who assists in helping others find
Personal/Spiritual Transformation and Empowerment and a Lover of Life. She leads a very blessed life and is grateful to be
of service.

Dr. Said was born in Cairo; he received his high school diploma from St. George’s
Catholic school. In 1995, he was accepted at the prestigious Ain Shams University,
School of Dentistry. He completed his dental degree in 2000.
In 2002 he attended Duggan Study Institute (DSI) in Costa Mesa, California. At DSI he
extensively studied enhanced restorative techniques and cosmetic restorations. He
finished his dental boards in 2004 at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco,
California. He moved to Minnesota in October of the same year.
Dr. Said is dedicated to the newest advancements in dentistry and keeps up-to-date with
the latest technologies. He believes that dentistry at its best involves truly working with
people, and goes beyond merely treating teeth to building strong relationships. Dr. Said's
gentle personality and warm friendly manner comfort patients during their dental visits.
Dr. Said is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (www.aacd.com)
and the Academy of General Dentistry (www.agd.org). He is also certified by the
Minnesota Board of Dentistry to administer nitrous oxide.
He is a big jazz fan and a sports car fanatic! When he is not practicing he is usually
traveling. Dr. Said is a resident of Minnetonka along with his wife Alicia and his baby
daughter Madeleine.
